The Samoyed Club is a small specialist dog breed club associated with the New Zealand Kennel Club (NZKC) now branded as Dogs New Zealand (Dogs NZ). The main focus of the club is the promotion and protection of the Samoyed.
Annual Awards
The Annual Awards includes:
- Shields for Champions
- Shields for Grand Champions
- Plaques for Supreme Champions
- Plaques for Specialty Grand Champions
- Cups and personalised sashes for Of Year Point System winners
- Framed photo for Special Samoyeds with an outstanding achievement.
The Club runs an annual points system for wins by Samoyeds owned by financial members of the Club that compete in Breeds Shows, Obedience Tests and Agility Trails.

The winners of the Annual Awards and the “Of Year Points” are reported in the Sleigh Courier. The full "Of Year Points" listing is distributed with the AGM notice papers.
